RAISING CONCERNS

The NHS exists to meet the needs of patients and their interests are paramount. Every member of staff employed by the Trust has a right and a duty to draw to the attention of an appropriate manager or clinician any matter which could be damaging to the interests of patients, visitors or other staff. The Trust gives assurance that any member of staff raising a genuine concern using this procedure will not be penalised or disadvantaged in any way for doing so. Any concerns should be reported verbally to an appropriate manager or clinician in the first instance and then, if not resolved, escalated using the Trust Raising Concerns procedure found on the Trust Intranet.
